Nathan Strandmark, DO
Dr. Nathan Strandmark, who is Board-certified in Family Medicine, joined Plaza Medical Center in August 2007. He never had any doubt when he was in medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience that he would practice anywhere other than in his home town. It had been his dream, even while he was playing basketball at Garden City Community College, to return home to care for the medical needs of his friends and their families.
During summer vacation and holidays from college and medical school, Dr. Strandmark could often be found at Plaza Medical Center learning and helping. Now he is "paying it forward" by mentoring and teaching medical students as well as those aspiring to become nurse practicioners or physician assistants. You might even find some high shool students "shadowing" him while they are exploring a career in heatlh care.
Dr. Strandmark, his wife and three children, love water sports so when the weather and time permit can be found at their cabin on the lake.
Jeremy Roderick, DO
Dr. Roderick is a Board-certified family practitioner who grew up in Garden City. He obtained his Bachelor's degree at Colorado Christian University and attended medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He joined Plaza Medical Center in September 2009, shorty after completion of his residency at Via Christi Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Roderick chose family medicine because he wanted to be involved in the lives of his patients. "One of the most exciting aspects of family medicine is getting to know patients and their families. These are people who are friends and acquaintances. I will run into many patients at church, a restaurant, or outside excursions." He particularly enjoys providing obstetrical services to his patients and caring for their newborns.
Dr. Roderick is very involved in his church. As an accomplished musician, he regularly provides service music. In addition, he serves as a Sunday School teacher and often as an usher. He is presently doing correspondence course work leading to a Master's Degree in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. In what spare time he has remaining, he enjoys running, hiking, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
Bryan Stucky, MD
Dr. Bryan Stucky graduated from Kansas University School of Medicine in 2009. He completed his residency with Via Christi Family Medicine, where in 2012, he was named the outstanding resident. In August of that same year, he returned to his hometown and began practice at Plaza Medical Center. He chose family practice because he enjoys the challenge of treating patients who present with a diversity of ailments.
Dr. Stucky enjoys his time away from the clinic by playing tennis and riding his dirt bike. He also likes jeeping in the mountains, so when he, his wife and two small children are able to get away, they head to Colorado.

Bradley Stucky, DO
Dr. Bradley Stucky started his practice in medicine here at Plaza Medical on September 5th,2017 shortly after finishing the residency program at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita. Dr. Brad is the brother of Dr. Bryan Stucky who has been practicing at Plaza since 2012.
After his graduation from Garden City High School, he attended Bethel College in Newton. After he earned his Bachelor's degree, he moved to Kansas City where he spent the next four years at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Bioscience.
Dr.Brad says he is extremely happy to be back in his home town, and feels very fortunate to be given the opportunity to care for his friends and neighbors. He is very passionate about being able to use his knowledge in preventative medicine and obstetrics to affect changes in the lives of his patients.
Dr. Stucky is married to a young woman who grew up in the State of Maine. She is also a family practice physician. They have one child.
He has a number of hobbies. He enjoys reading. He especially likes to do woodworking and make beautiful objects from wood. He is a dirt bike enthusiast. He likes to ride down the Arkansas River bed all the way to the front range of Colorado. Most of all he likes family time and doing anything they can do together.
Melanie Algrim, APRN
Melanie Algrim, a native born Garden Citian obtained her B.S.N from Pittsburg State University and her M.S.N as a family practitioner from West Texas A.&M University. She served nearly seven years active duty in the Air Force and retired from the USAF reserves in 2005. In addition to providing comprehensive family heath care, both at Plaza Medical Center and previously at Mexican American Ministries, she has instructed at GCCC in the nursing division.
Tammy Bailes, APRN
Tammy Bailes, APRN began practicing at Plaza Medical Center on October 13,2014. She had previously been providing health care to the city employees at their Grow Well Clinic, a position she held for approximately two years.
Tammy was born in Virginia, but spent most of her childhood and teen age years in California. She became a loyal Kansan when she was accepted to the nursing program at St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City. After obtaining her degree along with her R.N. , she decided to stay in Kansas. (California's loss was definitely gain for Kansas). As an R.N. she has worked extensively as an OB nurse in both the Dodge City and Garden City hospitals. In 1996 she obtained her certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner from Ft. Hays State University. Currently she provides comprehensive primary care services for our patients.
Tammy enjoys the outdoors. She likes to go camping, boating, kayaking, and when at home, working in her garden. She also likes to play pool. Tammy is married, has two children and three grandchildren.
